Rethink Codes

Carbon projects, on one record.

Draw the site, run the checks, write the PDD and put it on the registry. Developers, code administrators and validators work from the same project — nothing exported, nothing re-keyed.

How it works

From boundary to registry

One worked example, Achfearn Wood, taken from the first line on the map to the registry. The site and its figures are invented. The arithmetic is the platform’s.

  1. Step 01

    Draw the boundary

Draw the red line on the map, or drop in a shapefile, KML or GeoPackage. Area, parcels and the map of the site come straight from the geometry.

  2. Step 02

    Choose the mix

Set species, yield class and spacing for each parcel. The Woodland Carbon Code calculator runs as you change it, so units, buffer and revenue are always current.

  3. Step 03

    Screen the site

The boundary is checked against national datasets for water, soils, designations, the historic environment and existing woodland. The findings come back as a report you can share.

  4. Step 04

    Run the checks

Eligibility checks run against the standard: slope, peat depth, existing woodland, land capability and species suitability. Anything that fails takes a written mitigation that reviewers can see.

  5. Step 05

    Assemble the evidence

The project design document drafts itself from the project record and the files you upload. Every answer cites the evidence behind it.

  6. Step 06

    Put it on the registry

Submit for validation and registration from the same record. Milestones and documents sync with the UK Land Carbon Registry every night.

Who it's for

Four seats, one record

Developers, code administrators, validators and investors each get their own view of the same project. Screens and actions follow the role; nothing is exported and nothing is re-keyed.
